Dallas Stars Host Annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night on November 20
The Dallas Stars are proud to announce the return of their annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, during their game against the San Jose Sharks at the American Airlines Center. This powerful event, part of the NHL and NHLPA’s league-wide Hockey Fights Cancer initiative, underscores the fight against cancer through fundraising, awareness, and community support.

Fans attending the game will find numerous opportunities to engage with this meaningful cause. Key highlights include:

Salood and the V Foundation: Making a Difference
Proceeds from the night will benefit Salood and the V Foundation for Cancer Research, two organizations making significant impacts in the fight against cancer:
- Salood provides financial relief to families impacted by pediatric cancer, serving over 450 families and expanding its reach nationwide.
- The V Foundation, founded by ESPN and basketball coach Jim Valvano, has contributed nearly $400 million to cancer research, driving advancements and working toward a future free from cancer.
Wiley’s Inspiring Story
This year’s event includes a special collaboration with Salood Ambassador Wiley L., a courageous cancer warrior who has endured numerous battles with his health. Wiley’s motto, “I’m still standing,” inspired the design of a limited-edition t-shirt created in partnership with Stars graphic designer Brian Delumpa.
These t-shirts, featuring Wiley’s design, will be available for purchase at HangarHockey.com and at Stars Hangar locations inside the arena (sections 102, 110, and PNC Plaza). All proceeds will benefit Salood and the V Foundation, supporting critical research and families in need.
